M-CLAN Mentoring Program

In order to provide students a chance to experience the professional life at an early stage in their career, a mentoring program is a valuable tool. We are in a world where multiculturalism is spreading and the legal profession is also facing new challenges as students from diverse cultural backgrounds choose to study law. The impetus for this program comes from the Victorian Bar’s recent review of ‘diversity’ at the Bar.

Conflating traditional mentoring with the zing of culturally diverse mentors, the M-CLAN Mentoring Program aims to capitalise on this opportunity that the law school poses and expects to provide meaningful insights to students to enable them to unlock the next step in their career. M-CLAN Mentoring Program is designed to address law students’ perceived barriers of entering the profession by teaming them with a mentor of their choice.
